I think we will start with my father and see where it will take us.

On April 11, 1901 my Great Grandfather John Martin Gengenbach and his family came to America. They travel from Nohzingen (which is located in the southern part of Germany) and then travel all the way up north to Berman, Germany to aboard the ship Frankfurt to America.

 

These are my great great Grandparents:

Johann and Anna was married on

October 12, 1858 in

Bondorf, boeblingen, neckarkreis, Wuettemberg, Germany.

And

Johann Georg and Marie (Leicht) Rauschenberger.

I was unable to get information on them.

Died- July 13, 1934

Murphysboro, Ill

Buried at tower Grove cemetery west of Murphysboro, ill

Died- July 21, 1991 in Murphysboro, ill

Buried- tower grove cemetery west of Murphysboro, ill

 

 

 

She married a Schulz (first name is unknown)

 

They had one daughter

Bertha Schulz she married vernom strobe

They had three children

Fred strobe married Mattie of searcy, ark.

Barbara strobe married Anderson of little rock, ark.

Nancy strobe married mark valbrath o f whitehouse station, NJ.

 

Herman Paul Gengenbach (my grandfather)

Born- May 31, 1902 in Murphysboro, Ill

Died- October 10, 1991 in Murphysboro, ill

Buried- tower grove cemetery west of Murphysboro, ill

 

He married nellie brewer on October 27, 1923 they both were twenty-three of age

Married by minister a. l. Haynes

 

Nellie brewer (my grandmother)

Born- September 18, 1902 in Murphysboro, ill

Died- February 7, 1971 in Murphysboro, ill

Buried- tower grove cemetery west of Murphysboro, ill

 

Herman and Nellie had two sons

 

Herman Paul Gengenbach

Born- September 25, 1926

Died- July 14, 1952

Buried- at tower grove cemetery west of Murphysboro, ill

Never married and no children

After my grandmother Nellie pass away grandpa remarried to Sandra Poe in October of 1980

Buried- somewhere in Saint Louis, mo

 

She married Frank Ringwald

       Born- June 15, 1903

       Died- September, 1981

        Buried- in Saint Louis, mo

They had one daughter

Phyllis first husband was a Wagner they had one daughter.

Phyllis remarried to a Kuhns

They had two sons
